Bill Allen Hired as Sales Manager

Mary Maida Hired as Technology Support Specialist

June 1, 2005 -- BizWonk Inc. announces the hiring of Mary Maida as Technology Support Specialist, responsible for providing content development and other technical support services for BizWonk customers.

Mary comes with extensive background as a technical communicator in the software industry, having developed user help systems, requirements and system documentation. She also has a background in the social sciences doing teaching and inservice training and responding to complex client needs.
She has a Ph.D. in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo and has done graduate work in Information Technology at RIT.

Earnest Chestnut Hired as Website Developer

September 13, 2004 -- Earnest Chestnut has been hired for the position of Web Developer. Prior to joining BizWonk, Earnest was a key contributor to the award winning ESL website (www.esl.org). (ESL won the Rochester Business Journal's Best of the Web award in the Banking & Finance category, November 2004.) He previously held web development positions for Paychex, Mitchell Technologies, Fusion Productions, and other companies.

BizWonk Hosts Grant Seminar

November 14, 2003 -- BizWonk Inc. is sponsoring a free professional seminar titled “Tapping Into the Hidden Treasure of Government Grants: A Treasure Map for Manufacturers.” It will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday December 2nd, 2003 in High Technology of Rochester (HTR) downtown offices at 55 St. Paul Street.

The seminar will review and provide information on dozens of government grant programs available to area manufacturing companies. For example, there is a grant designed to help companies who are experiencing hardship due to competition from China.

The presentation will be made by Rich Gizzi, a project manager at HTR, and hosted by BizWonk Inc., a local provider of information technology and e-marketing services. Representatives from companies which have benefited from government grants will provide brief descriptions of their successes with the programs.

“The administrators of various government grants often tell us that their programs are underutilized. We regularly hear from our clients that they were simply unaware of the many grant programs for which they might qualify,” said Gizzi.

Dan Evans Hired as Sales Manager

Lisa Piskorowski Named Office Manager

March 17, 2003 -- BizWonk Inc. announces the hiring of Lisa Piskorowski as Office Manager, responsible for managing the administrative activities of the company.

Lisa brings excellent account development and organizational skills to BizWonk, which she gained while working with Sutherland Group and Sun Microsystems. These skills will be put to good use since the Office Manager position is the hub around which the rest of the organization runs. Lisa has a B.S. in Busines Administration with a concentration in Marketing from SUNY Buffalo, and an A.S. in Business Administration from Genesee Community College.

BizWonk Wins ClientSide Excellence Award!

November 22, 2002 -- BizWonk Inc. is the winner of the ClientSide Excellence Award in the “Consulting-Technical” category. The awards honor excellence in client service within the globalization/internationalization/localization industries. Three finalists were selected for each category from hundreds of nominated companies, and thousands of votes were then tallied over a several month period.

Awards will be presented at a black tie dinner during the Globalization and Technology ROI Expo, in Aspen, Colorado, February 2003.

BizWonk VP appointed as non-profit organization president

June 25, 2002 -- BizWonk Inc. VP Suzanne Topping has been appointed President of the international non-profit Professional Association for Localization (PAL). Topping helped found the organization in 2001, serving as Communication Officer before assuming the role of President.

PAL offers educational and networking opportunities for people who work on multilingual products, software, documents, or other items.

Topping said, “In today’s challenging economic environment, it’s more important than ever for people to keep their skills honed, and to network within their industry. PAL provides an environment for helping international software professionals work through these tumultuous times.”
